Meet Our Dedicated Team: Champions of Compassion for Elders and Disabilities Since 2016
Samuel Ssebandeke Kayanja founded the Lusi Namatovu Foundation in 2016 after a poignant visit from the UK to his aunt, Christina Namazzi, whom he found neglected and in dire need of care. Moved by her plight and the broader struggles of elderly individuals in Rakai District, he established the foundation to restore dignity and support to those abandoned by family and overlooked by government aid. His personal connection to this cause, inspired by his late mother Lusi Namatovu, drives the organization's commitment to compassionate care.
As CEO, Samuel leads the foundation with a steadfast vision, overseeing programs that provide shelter, food, and medical care to elderly individuals while guiding the recent expansion to support people with disabilities. His leadership has fostered sustainable initiatives, including community outreach and advocacy, impacting thousands in Rakai District. Under his direction, the foundation continues to evolve, ensuring inclusive support that honors the dignity of all beneficiaries.
Your generous donation empowers us to build safe homes, provide vital wheelchairs, and deliver compassionate care to Rakai's elderly and disabled, transforming lives where it's needed most.
